WHAT IS A COLORBOT?
A colorbot is an aim tool that works only from the picture on your screen. It looks for the color the game paints on enemies and moves your mouse toward it. Here is how that works, what it can and cannot do, and how it compares with a memory aimbot.
The short version
Shooters like Modern Warfare 4 let you choose the color that highlights enemies. A colorbot watches a small part of your screen for exactly that color. When it finds it near your crosshair, it moves your mouse there, or clicks for you while an enemy is in your sights.
It never reads the game's memory and never changes game files. It sees what you see, nothing more.
How a colorbot works, step by step
- 01CaptureIt reads a small area around your crosshair, the same picture your monitor shows. Vectis uses Windows desktop capture and never opens the game process.
- 02DetectIt looks for the enemy highlight color you picked in the game, within a tolerance, and ignores specks that are too small to be a player.
- 03TrackIt picks the target closest to your crosshair inside a circle you set (the FOV) and works out where to move, slightly ahead if the enemy is running.
- 04MoveIt moves your mouse onto the target at the speed and smoothness you chose, or clicks for you when an enemy is in your sights.
Colorbot vs. memory aimbot
| Compared | Colorbot | Memory aimbot |
|---|---|---|
| Gets its information from | The picture on your screen | The game's memory |
| Touches the game process | No | Yes, it reads it, often from a kernel driver |
| Sees through walls | No, only what is on screen | Often, through ESP and wallhacks |
| Setup (Vectis) | One app, no drivers, no BIOS changes | Often drivers, BIOS or Secure Boot changes |
| After a game patch | Keeps working while the colors stay the same | Often breaks when memory layouts change |
The trade-off: a colorbot can only aim at enemies you can actually see, and it needs their highlight to be visible. In return it stays outside the game entirely.
MW4 wallhack and ESP vs. a colorbot
MW4 cheats and hacks can include different tools. An aimbot moves your aim, while a triggerbot clicks when a visible target enters its detection zone. Some wallhacks and ESP tools show player information, including enemies behind walls.
Vectis is a screen-based MW4 aimbot and triggerbot. It does not have a wallhack, ESP or radar. If an enemy is not visible on your screen, Vectis cannot detect them.
What it can and cannot do
It can
- pull your aim onto visible enemies inside a circle you set, at the speed and smoothness you choose;
- fire for you when an enemy enters a zone around your crosshair (a triggerbot);
- aim slightly ahead of enemies that are moving;
- stay out of your stream and recordings (Vectis Stream Proof hides its window and overlay from OBS, Discord and screenshots).
It cannot
- see enemies through walls or smoke, or show them on a radar;
- know where an enemy is before they appear on your screen;
- work on a controller: it moves the mouse, so it is made for mouse and keyboard.
Is a colorbot safe to use?
The honest answer: any aim tool breaks Call of Duty's terms of service, and an account that uses one can be banned. A colorbot takes away the biggest technical risk, because there is nothing of it inside the game process. What remains is how you play: a perfect snap onto every enemy looks wrong to anyone watching.
That is why Vectis gives you a small FOV, smoothing, aim curves and humanizer jitter. With sensible settings it plays like a good player, not like a machine. No tool can promise zero risk, and we will not pretend otherwise.
What you need

Questions
Does a colorbot work with a controller?
No. A colorbot moves the mouse, so it is made for mouse and keyboard on PC.
Does Vectis include an MW4 wallhack or ESP?
No. Vectis has no wallhack, ESP or radar. It only reacts to enemies visible on your screen.
Do I need a second PC or a capture card?
Not for Vectis. It runs on the same PC as the game and reads a small area around your crosshair with Windows desktop capture.
Which games does Vectis support?
Vectis supports Modern Warfare 4 only, on Windows PC with mouse and keyboard.
Is a triggerbot the same as a colorbot?
A triggerbot is one part of a colorbot. It clicks for you when an enemy is inside a zone around your crosshair, while the aimbot part moves your aim. Vectis has both.
